Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an R&D FW- Control Engineer to join the Research and Development - Special Circuit Breaker Team, developing and integrating embedded control software for advanced Medium Voltage apparatus in our Electrification business.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on embedded firmware development and integrating controls for driving of electromechanical apparatus. The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role contributes to the Distribution Solutions Division within the Electrification Business in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for:• Realizing the software architecture and detail design including integration, calculation algorithms, and taking care of the coding using software engineering methods in C programming for embedded applications on microcontrollers.• Optimizing the design by identification of the best technical solutions in terms of architectural and detail design while exploiting the maximum integration among the SW/FW applications and Circuit Breaker Control HW.• Managing the FW project development from prefeasibility studies to the implementation, test plan or whatever other requirements and the relevant documentation of the product.• Working in a proactive way in a well consolidated team, acquiring all the exiting SW/FW platform features.

Qualifications for the role

Master’s degree in Automation and Control Engineering or Electronic Engineering You have up to 5 years of experience in power automation and control, modeling and design of AC servomotor drives and control systems for electromagnetic actuators. Knowledge of SW Architectures design, embedded firmware design in C Matlab and Simulink. C++ would be a plus. You are proactive, and you have the ability to create innovation, negotiation and networking skills. You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken. You have good communication skills and a positive spirit. You have the willingness to work in a team, speediness, problem solving orientation and commitment to deliver results while working in both local and international contexts.
