Join us as our new R&D IT System Specialist You will become an expert within one or more of our core and cross-functional systems for R&D – like Benchling or Sample Manager. Welcome to Scientific Data Strategy and Systems (SDSS) SDSS works to enhance business and scientific productivity by developing systems to provide seamless access to research data, state of the art data analysis, data science and visualization tools - supporting research activities such as genome sequencing and protein engineering in Novonesis’ global R&D organization. Our team is a sub-team within SDSS called Scientific Data Applications team and consists of 14 software engineers, project managers and system specialists. We have full operational responsibility for systems, enabling an agile and flexible environment including working with data governance and management. The team works from two sites - Hørsholm and Lyngby – your primary location will be Lyngby. You will refer to the Senior Department Manager. In this role you’ll make an impact by: Your primary tasks will be to ensure daily operation of the systems, participate in implementations, troubleshooting, support and upgrades.Youl will be working closely together with the team, vendors and our user communities. Further tasks: + Coordinating and alignment of change requests and testing across areas/stakeholders and with vendors/development team + Responsible for 2nd level support and trouble shooting + Administration and configuration of systems incl. user and vendor administration (support agreements, licenses & incidents) + Perform training and upskilling of users + Ensure documentation for operation and maintenance + Lead, design, plan and execute implementation and upgrades + Work closely with system users and drive super user communities To succeed you must hold: + A background in bioscience with acquired IT skills or an IT education with experience from laboratory work + Experience with data management of research data + Experience with laboratory (R&D or QC) IT applications and support + Technical experience with system configuration. Programming related to IT applications a solid advantage + Experience leading troubleshooting and problem-solving activities + Solid experience in translating business needs into IT technologies (understanding of IT and the business/RD&A) and the creative process that cater. + Understanding of the processes related to securing an operational setup and lifecycle management of IT systems As a person you have to have the ability to work independently, structure and drive a process. You are good at organizing and creating overview of complex issues and thrives in a dynamic environment in the interface between IT & R&D.
