DCS India R&D Lab and V&V Manager

We are looking for a senior lab manager in our 3 Phase UPS R&D team who is passionate to lead from front and provide the state-of-the-art high power 3MW lab management and product verification, validation, and certification tests leadership for 3phase UPS, power distribution units and accessories varying from few hundred KW to MW ranges for data center systems.

3-Phase UPS, batteries, electrical panels, cables, power distribution products, transfer switches, transformers, power monitoring solutions, breakers and other electrical components

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Oversee the smooth operations of the 3MW R&D lab dedicated to developing and testing UPS for data center systems, ensuring lab is fully functional.

·  Works to expand the lab for higher capabilities and infrastructure to meet the DCS rich products backlog and growth demand.

·  Manage and lead a team of test engineers, providing guidance and support in their respective roles.

·  Take ownership of the verification and validation planning, strategy for all products being developed by the India R&D team.

·  Utilize knowledge of electrical systems including breakers, cables, panels, bus bars, etc., to ensure the efficient functioning of the lab and testing procedures.

·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet quality and performance standards.

·  Develop and implement testing protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

·  Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and testing processes including automation.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED\:

·  Proven experience in lab operations and design verification and validation testing.

·  In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components relevant to UPS and data center systems.

·  Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.

·  Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to product testing and validation.

·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·  Good knowledge in power electronics circuits like, Charger, Inverter, Battery configurations, High DC voltage systems etc

·  Experience with power system design, safety standards, electrical codes, Symbols, earthing systems etc

·  Working experience with lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, function generators, LCR meters, thermal & power analyzers, digital multimeters, PPE’s, Safety, ESD Hazards etc

PREFERRED

·  Knowledge on UPS products through design, specification, applicable standards, configuration, application, operations

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

·  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

·  10-15 years or more experience in similar field
