Join us as a Laboratory Apprentice with R&D and gain a unique insight into the workings of an FMCG company. The 5 year apprentice programme will provide you an opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of R&D roles across multiple teams. The first role you’ll complete on the programme will be within the Category Health Technical Group (CTSG). This team worksacross all key functional business areas within R&D Health and Wellness, ensuring availability of robust platforms on which the Category/Product Delivery and Maintenance (PDM) groups can perform their product development. Focusing on our Health & Wellness R&D laboratory facilities, as an Apprentice you will provide essential preventative and reactive equipment maintenance as well as ongoing training for laboratory staff. Working closely with Laboratory Analysts and external service providers, you’ll advise, troubleshoot and qualify multiple types of equipment such asbalances and chromatographic equipment.within a strong compliance environment. Ultimately, you will become an equipment expert. The go-to person. You will stay for 2 years within this role, to enable us to support you to really embed into the R&D function and build a set of core transferable skills, before you move on to further rotations across R&D. You can expect hands on responsibility from day one working alongside highly experienced and knowledgeable industry experts, who will help you develop a whole range of new skills. **About the role** 5-year apprentice programme with the opportunity to apply for permanent roles with Reckitt once complete. Fully paid degree qualification via Kent University Kingston Upon Hull Competitive salary & benefits Start date: 1st September 2025 Closing date: 28th February 2025 Alongside your day-to-day role you will also complete your apprenticeship qualification via distance learning at Kent University. This will build your theoretical knowledge and enable you to apply your learning into your role. At the end of the 5-year programme you will be awarded a Bsc in Applied Chemical Sciences. **Your responsibilities** Your 5-year apprenticeship will be based within the Research & Development function, primarily working on our Health brands. You will undertake a 2-year placement initially within the Instrument Expert team and then rotate into different R&D teams in years 3 and 4; completing a total of 3 different rotations and continuing to build your breadth of R&D knowledge along the way. **The experience we're looking for** 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above. You are also required to have achieved at least 2 subjects at A-Level (or equivalent) including Chemistry.
