Joining us as an **R&D** Laboratory **Apprentice** within theCategory Technical Science Group(CTSG) will provide you with great technical, lab-based experience and a unique insight into the world of Research and Development. The 5-year apprentice programme will provide you with an opportunity to gain experience across the different groups in CTSG. The first role you’ll complete will be within the analytical team and specifically working on Global Reference Standard (GRS). As your apprenticeship progresses, you’ll also have the chance to experience roles within formulation, microbiology, stability and the pilot plant. Working at Reckitt’s, state of the art £100m Science and Innovation Centre, the Apprentice Programme will give you a fantastic foundation of knowledge of Reckitt and a unique insight into the workings of a global FMCG company. There are lots of opportunity to get stuck into different projects. You can expect hands on responsibility from day one working alongside highly experienced and knowledgeable industry experts, who will help you develop a whole range of new skills. **About the role** 5-year apprentice programme with the opportunity to apply for permanent roles with Reckitt once complete. Fully paid degree qualification via Kent University Kingston Upon Hull Competitive salary & benefits Start date: 1st September 2025 Closing date: 28th February 2025 Alongside your day-to-day role you will also complete your apprenticeship qualification via distance learning at Kent University. This will build your theoretical knowledge and enable you to apply your learning into your role. At the end of the 5-year programme you will be awarded a Bsc in Applied Chemical Sciences. **Your responsibilities** + Your 5-year apprenticeship will be fully based within the CTSG group; you will undertake a 2-year placement initially and then rotate into a different CTSG team in years 3 and 4; completing a total of 3 different rotations. Throughout the 5-year apprenticeship you will gain experience across the different CTSG functional area’s providing support for key activities such as: + Stability testing + Formulation support including instrument maintenance across formulation and pilot plant and gaining experience in product formulation + Microbiology support and testing + Compliance and wellness lab support **The experience we're looking for** 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above. You are also required to have achieved at least 2 subjects at A-Level (or equivalent) including Chemistry.
