Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented R&D Laboratory Technician to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative products for the ink industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the creation of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products. This role will involve sample and small-batch preparation, physical property testing, printer operation, and raw material management. We are looking for an individual who is committed to personal and professional growth within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory testing and analysis on a variety of products.Manage inventory of lab supplies and ensure proper equipment functionality.Prepare product samples and assist in scale-up batch processes.Purge and retain samples according to the established retention schedule.Maintain accurate and thorough records in a detailed laboratory notebook.Ensure a clean and organized environment in the R&D laboratories and print areas.Organize the storage of consumable materials and replacement parts in compliance with the Chemical Hygiene Plan.Provide support to the product development and R&D teams.Perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.Essential Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of 1 year of industry laboratory experience.Proficiency in operating lab equipment, including surface tensiometers, microscopes, analytical balances, viscometers, spectrophotometers, conductivity meters, energy-curable light sources (UV, LED, E-beam), FTIR, refractive index meters, and colorimeters.This role offers excellent opportunities for career advancement, with potential for promotion to lead R&D Technician and chemist-level positions. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
