Overview:
This position is responsible for conducting the screening and certification testing of experimental cable designs. This work is conducted under the direction of the laboratory manager, using industry standards and laboratory work procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform physical, electrical, fiber optic and flame testing of cable samples in support of industry certificationsParticipate in external audits by demonstrating testing expertise and knowledge of the laboratory quality management systemMaintain laboratory equipment, supplies and working area. Perform minor equipment repairs and calibrations.Commission new test equipment with the support of laboratory managementMaintain records and issue reports on test results generatedWrite and/or provide feedback on testing proceduresOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:
