R&D Pilot Plant Technician
Job Description What's on the Menu:

We have an excellent opportunity available for a R&D Pilot Plant Technician to make a difference in our R&D organization in Kraft Heinz. This position lies within the Process Design & Pilot Plant R&D team. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level, reporting to the Process Design & Pilot Plant Manager. This role is responsible for trials organization and execution in the Pilot Plant and much more.

The person in this role will work in a multi-functional team to deliver projects and will also collaborate internally with our product, packaging, process, analytical, sensory and technology teams.

Key Ingredients: Working within the Pilot Plant Team, supporting trials from preparation of equipment & raw materials, to cleaning and document completion. Ensure effective operation and control of Pilot Plant trials, working closely with Technologists and often working to tight timescales. Ensure trials are completed on-time and to schedule. Flexibility will be required to maintain a balance of priorities in the Pilot Plant. Assist in improving equipment and execute basic maintenance. Undertake training as required to improve self, process & equipment knowledge. Continually monitor Pilot Plant conditions and report defects to the Pilot Plant Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Pilot Plant Project Assistant, or Pilot Plant Manager. Follow GMP program of Hygienic Cleaning in the Pilot Plant. Carry out in-depth cleaning, as scheduled in accordance with Kraft Heinz Quality standards. Safe handling & use of chemicals & detergents. Contributing to the efficient operation of the Pilot Plant. Assisting others and training in safe methods. Will ensure all persons entering Pilot Plant have required PPE and are following procedures. Promoting and Maintaining a Safe, Hygienic Working Environment Responsible for the health & safety of themselves and others in the Pilot Plant. Encouraging safety as the No.1 Priority. Ensure all trials are safely conducted and that all personnel in the Pilot Plant, are demonstrating Safe Working Practices & Behaviors, Maintain excellent levels of food hygiene in line with HACCP. Maintain an effective dialogue with all functional teams. Has authority to suspend trials at any time, if safety conditions are compromised. (With the support of the Pilot Plant team). Raw Materials, Product Flow & Storage of Category Trial Products. Where required order, receive, store and document raw materials and incoming goods. Separation and identification of all Allergens. Correct labelling and recording of product, supplier, location. When moving from main storage, secondary labelling, storage of all ingredients as defined by Pilot Plant procedures.
