Our team is expanding and hiring a Product Engineer for **the Research and Development Fiber Cable Engineering group in Claremont, NC** . The Engineering team provides innovation and support for the various fiber cable families offered by CommScope, including Premises, Indoor/Outdoor, and Outdoor Fiber cables. This position will also provide the opportunity to work with many other functional groups within CommScope, including Product Management, Field Application Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Quality. **Required Qualifications for Consideration:** + Bachelor’s degree or higher in related technical engineering curriculum (mechanical, electrical, etc.) + Two or more years of experience in the fiber optic cable manufacturing industry, focusing on the design and production of fiber optic cables. + Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products. + Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance day-to-day activities with project activities. + 10% of travel within U.S. **You Will Excite Us If You Have:** + Experience with fiber ribbons and ribbon fiber cable + Creative, analytical, and technical problem solver. + Ability to collaborate with manufacturing personnel and coordinate development efforts in a manufacturing environment. + Capable of working in cross-functional teams. + Professional and assertive communication skills.
