Your primary focus will be "hands-on" leadership of software development team for controlling gas chromatographs, auto-samplers and mass spectrometers. Collaborating closely with product management, hardware development team and customer support, you will play a vital role in delivering new features as well as sustaining of existing products.
You will have opportunity to lead small team of software developers, driving software projects from initiation to successful completion, following high software quality standards, cyber security guidelines, contribute to implementation activities depending on your technical skills and to coordinate other leadership activities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to foster the growth of your software colleagues by providing guidance and support in developing their skills and advancing their careers.
Keys to Success
Leadership of the software team (4 developers) delivering instrument control software for analytical instruments - taking care of people in your team and empowering them in growth and enabling them to fulfill their responsibilities.Software project management and coordination according to defined process.Opportunity to be either part of development in C#/.NET or testing of the solutions on analytical instruments.Collaborating closely with product management, customer support and hardware developers to build a roadmap for upcoming releases.Interact with product support organization to address various issues reported from customers.Occasional travel to Bremen, Germany or Milan, Italy may be requiredExperience and Education
Proven 2+ years of software management or technical team leadership.Experience with software development for analytical instruments, industrial devices, or Windows desktop programs with peripherals.University degree in relevant field or equivalent professional experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
