This position is onsite in Reynoldsville, PA, and your team is spread out globally, thus the job includes some planned travel.

Your Role

In this role, you will secure a well-functioning diamond coating process, including pretreatment, and will develop the next generation of diamond coating. You have close contact with the rest of your team and with the solid milling team as well as collaborate with the coating department, the product development engineers, product line, application engineers, production technology, and your other internal stakeholders. You’re using SEM, FTIR, XRF, and LOM regularly, doing measurements and interpretation of results.

About you

You hold a master's or PhD degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or adjacent combined with cemented carbide or coating knowledge, preferentially hard coatings.You have held previous R&D positions and have a background in wet chemistry, preferably tungsten chemistry.You have a good understanding of the CVD technology and are familiar with characterization techniques such as SEM, FTIR, XRF, and LOM, while knowledge of PVD and Raman are beneficial. Knowledge of aerospace, CFRP, CFRP machining is advantageous.As we work across borders and cultures, you need to be inclusive and communicate fluently in English.
