Job Description

This position is NonExempt and any hours worked over 40 will be compensated at Time and a Half. The role involves analyzing verbal or statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by professionals in various scientific or engineering fields. The candidate may be proficient in qualitative and/or quantitative lab methods. A BS degree or 1-4 years of experience is required.

ResponsibilitiesPerform tests on medical devices, specifically heart catheters, which include mechanical, electrical, conditioning, length, OD, and visual testing.Execute a range of tests from simple to complex, following written and verbal instructions.Devote 85% of time in the lab and 15% at a desk, with all work being on-site.Familiarize and work within a medical device setting, preferably with testing, though product building may also be considered.Adhere to safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices for tasks requiring such precautions.Communicate clearly with engineers about ideas, problems, and solutions.Work effectively as a team member.Essential SkillsExperience in medical device testing.R&D experience.Proficiency in working with test methods.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Time management and prioritization skills.Detail-oriented with good documentation practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsSome experience in drafting documents is a plus.Experience with equipment/tools such as calipers, MTS, multimeters, digital thermometers, force gauges, Cognex, LabView, and hand tools.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Work Environment

The role requires 85% lab time and 15% desk time, with all work being conducted on-site. The use of equipment such as calipers, MTS, multimeters, digital thermometers, force gauges, Cognex, LabView, and hand tools is necessary. Safety guidelines must be followed at all times, utilizing appropriate safety devices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
