CMPT business is providing an exciting opportunity for an **R&D Technologist** in the **CMP Applications** group in **Newark, DE** . This motivated individual will take direction and provide support to Applications Engineers by preparing and executing experimental activities and data analysis that directly impacts customer engagements, new product development and product troubleshooting. Our Technologist will embrace Dupont’s Partner of Choice mentality and be enthusiastic about problem solving.
**Your Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work safely in all site environments and participate fully in company safety programs.
+ Train on, and eventually master multiple types of CMP Tools and analytical tools that may have different software interfaces.
+ Execute designed experiments under engineer’s guidance.
+ Engage closely and provide technical support in global multifunctional project team environment.
+ Follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) on routine testing and data recording.
+ Analyze data, summarize, and document data and other information/observations in reports.
**Required Qualifications**
+ AS or BS degree in Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or similar technology related degree.
+ Three (3) or more years experience in a lab or manufacturing environment
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
+ Candidate should possess:
+ Mindset to put safety as priority, work safely in a lab and manufacturing plant environment and basic understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) rules.
+ Demonstrated highest ethical behavior.
+ Strong analytical, written, verbal communication skills. Able to communicate well, verbally and in writing, and have strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
+ Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
+ Critical thinking and ability of problem solving.
+ Must be willing to
+ Work in a certified clean room environment
+ Work with a variety of chemicals, polymeric materials, and analytical/mechanical tools
+ Work collaboratively with a project team and complete assigned tasks on time.
+ Wear personal protective devices such as: protective clothing, gloves, face masks, goggles, safety boots, etc.
+ Work in the vicinity of moving or mechanical parts, in fume hoods, and near loud noises.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with CMP Tools, analytical tools, or mechanical testing, such as laser metrology, mechanical testing tools, microscope, spectroscopy, surface characterizations, etc.
+ Experience working in a clean room.
+ Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical or related manufacturing where precision and customer focus are highly valued.
+ Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or familiarity with Six Sigma or statistical design
+ Ability to run experiments with limited guidance.
+ Knowledge in software platforms for data analysis and communication (databases, Excel, JMP, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
+ Experience with SAP
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at a time, adaptive to business priority.
