We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and results-driven R&D Technologist to join our EPDM Away From Home (AFH) R&D team at Kraft Heinz. In this role, you’ll contribute to shaping the future of food by driving innovation, supporting supply chain improvements, and working collaboratively with a diverse network of stakeholders. Reporting directly to the AFH R&D Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering impactful projects for our customers.
The R&D Technologist manages projects from concept to commercialization, leveraging technical expertise and creativity to develop products that meet consumer and customer needs. You’ll work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and success.
In brief, you take ownership of:Project Management
Driving technical innovation, value engineering, and supply chain projects through established R&D governance processes. Leading projects from initial concept development and pilot prototyping to industrialization and product launch. Supplier Collaboration Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate co-creations and efficient project execution. Customer Insight Developing a deep understanding of AFH customers, translating their needs into practical product solutions. Cross-Team Collaboration Partnering with EM&DM R&D teams to identify synergies, manage portfolios, and share best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Food Science & Technology, or a related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering). 2–3 years of experience in the food industry, with a focus on product development preferred. Strong scientific and technical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable solutions. A consumer and customer-focused approach, with curiosity about food trends and innovation. Collaborative and empathetic team player with excellent communication skills. Flexible, creative, and agile in approach to problem-solving.
