R&M TECHNICIAN

Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking a highly skilled R&M Technician III to lead the inspection, repair, and maintenance of our field tools and equipment. This role requires extensive experience and advanced techniques to independently manage complex repairs and troubleshoot issues beyond routine tasks. The successful candidate will perform hands-on repairs, refurbishments, and ensure adherence to technical manuals, safety standards, and procedures. As a senior team member, you will also mentor and guide less experienced technicians.

 

Responsibilities

Receive, dismantle, repair, and refurbish field tools and equipment Follow technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions Inspect tools and equipment for issues and perform necessary maintenance and repairs Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with tools and equipment  Monitor equipment performance and conduct quality control analysis Prepare tools and equipment for assembly, repair, or modifications React effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery Visualize how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications

 

Requirements

4-6+ years of related experience in a manufacturing/repair and maintenance environment Ability to follow established procedures for equipment repair and maintenance, with growing independence in handling complex tasks Proficiency in critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting of equipment with minimal supervision Advanced reading, writing, and communication skills to interpret technical manuals, create detailed reports, and collaborate effectively with teams Physical capability and dexterity to handle manual tasks, operate advanced tools and machinery, and ensure proper ergonomics and safety Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload according to production schedules Basic computer skills

 

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent is required Preference will be given to candidates with 2+ years of experience in related product lines (MPD or BOP preferred).

 

Certifications

IPC certification (preferred)
