Weatherford are currently looking for an experienced Electrical/DAQ R&M (Repair & Maintenance) Technician to join the team in Dyce, Aberdeen.  The R&M Technician's primary role will be to assemble, disassemble rental equipment (under supervision) as well as assemble components (under supervision) per work instructions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist senior workshop personnel in the preparation and testing of Thru-Tubing equipment. The successful individual will be expected to follow a specified learning plan that will include various computer-based learning modules as well as classroom training. May take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor. The individual applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks strictly in accordance to Weatherford OEPS standards. The successful candidate will receive close supervision and thorough review of all work performed for application of sound professional judgment.

Requirements:

3-6 years relevant experience in an oil and gas workshop environment. Basic mathematics. Awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies and principles. Should be able to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, monitoring of equipment. Critical thinking, active learning and listening, complex problem solving. Good reading and writing skills, strong judgement and decision-making to be in line with policies and procedures. Good time management. Capable of meeting the physical demands that the role requires. Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery.
