RA Assistant Manager, Finance Shared Service, Japan

Finance Shared Services (Japan) is a team responsible for centralized management of Hilton Group’s accounting operations within Japan.
In order to strengthen the structure of the Finance Shared Services (Japan) team, we are looking for a new team member based in Tokyo We welcome applications from experienced accountants.

What will I be doing? 

\n

A summary of the key components of this role is included below, however note that these tasks are generic in nature, and additional tasks may be applicable depending on the hotel/owner requirements. 

\n

Revenue Accounting

\n\nVerify the interfaces between the Property management system, restaurant POS, and accounting system.\\\nVerify and aggregate various types of income (Rooms, Outlet, banquet, and others).\nVerify balancing of settlement i.e.. cash, credit cards, etc.\nVerify sales consumption tax.\nVerify various reports based on Hilton policies.\nMonthly closing\n\n

People Management

\n\nSupervises the Team Member (Team Management)\nTeam Development (Mentoring; Training/Guiding)\n\n

Reporting & Financial Analysis

\n\nIs responsible for progress of daily/monthly tasks for RA team\nReview/Implement Finance policies, procedures and operating guidelines\n\n

Control & Commercial Awareness

\n\nSupervising RA daily operation\nSeek opportunity for efficiency of RA procedure\nMaintain a standardization of RA procedure\nSupervising preparation & adherence to External Audits; Internal Audits & any other Audit by local government agencies in the Hotels\nSupervising Balance Sheet Reconciliations prepared by RA team\nOperational related investigations/reviews

A Revenue Accountant (RA), Finance Shared Services, Japan serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

MUST

\n\nLanguage Proficiency: proficient in Japanese to meet business needs (e.g. - able to communicate and read/write Japanese documents without a dictionary) and basic in English (e.g., able to read and understand emails as this position needs to use the system in English.)\n2 years' experience in accounting\nAble to use formulas in Microsoft Excel (to process calculation)\nBasic PC skills\nBookkeeping Level 3 or equivalent knowledge\nGood relationship with the Hotel Finance, Operations.\nAbility to lead, to provide guidance and to develop team member.\nAbility to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct associates and managers to meet desired ends\nA resourceful individual who is creative and able to maintain flexibility.\n\n

Preferred

\n\nLanguage proficiency: intermediate level of English (e.g., able to read and understand business documents and speak at meetings to some extent)\nBookkeeping level 2 or above\nLine operations management and labor related experience preferred.\nKnowledge of Microsoft VBA and RPA.\n\n
