As a Racing Mechanic and CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in our team's success both on and off the track. You will be responsible for maintaining and preparing our racing vehicles to ensure peak performance during competitions. Additionally, you will be tasked with transporting our equipment and vehicles to various race events safely and efficiently. This is a team environment, where everyone pitches in to get the job done. This position will be based in Livonia, MI.  Travel is required 30% of the time as well. 

As a Racing Mechanic/CDL Driver, you will:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including engine tuning, suspension adjustments, and bodywork repairsConduct thorough pre-race inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standardsPrepare racing vehicles for competition, including tire changes, fueling, and vehicle setup adjustmentsTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing timely solutions to keep vehicles in optimal conditionOperate and maintain a fleet of transport vehicles, including trucks and trailers, ensuring they are clean, organized, and compliant with all regulationsSafely transport racing vehicles, equipment, and supplies to race events, adhering to all traffic laws and regulationsCoordinate logistics for race events, including scheduling, route planning, and vehicle loading and unloadingCollaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies for improving vehicle performance and race outcomesTo be considered a Racing Mechanic/CDL Driver, you will need:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of work experience as a MechanicMust have own tools with rolling toolboxValid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving recordStrong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive systemsKnowledge of racing vehicle components, systems, and setup principlesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work closely with drivers, engineers, and other team membersFlexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and travel to race eventsMust be able to travel in and out of state up to 30% of the timeCommitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and proceduresA successful candidate may also have:Mechanic experience in a professional racing environmentAlternative fuels experience (propane, etc.).  Will provide training if necessary.ASE or State certificationsCertificate in Automotive Technology or related
