About the Role There are various Infrastructure Operations teams which are the backbone of AWS and supports our rapidly growing AWS business and customers. As AWS grows, we strive to grow our own talent. You will receive on-the-job training and gain cross-functional, transferable skills. This is a unique, entry-level opportunity where you will have the support to grow as an infrastructure technician and progress through the different skill sets of decommissioning, installation and operations. You will receive comprehensive training and work with talented colleagues in some of the most innovative data centers in the world. Key job responsibilities * Adhere to safety and security best practices in the data center * Utilize a web ticketing system and other dedicated tools * Create reports and documenting procedures * Support and build relationships with various data center teams A day in the life * Install server/storage/network racks into data center facilities * Repair server/storage systems * Remove and destroy media * Install, repair or disconnect network links * Decommission and process legacy hardware out of the data center facilities * Safely and securely manage and dispose of E-waste * Travel between different Tokyo areas to work at various data centers * Perform maintenance tasks on work equipment In future, possibility to work in shifts as data centers are online 24x7.
