Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist - Full Time, Days position in the Cardiac Cath Lab Unit at Lutheran Health Network - Lutheran Hospital

Full Time - 32 hours per week, 8 hour shifts

Hours: day shift with call 1 day a week & every 6th weekend, 1 holiday call per year required

Call response time: 30 minutes 

About this unit: 

Lutheran Hospital is an accredited chest pain center which includes Level 1 Heart. This designation enhances the level of care for acute cardiovascular patients from outlying hospitals by transferring them directly to Lutheran Hospital's cath lab instead of the ER. 

4 Cath Lab rooms, 2 hybrid labs. Utilize state-of-the-art and advanced imaging technology in LH's Cath lab! Rad Techs in this area can expect to be challenged clinically. This team participates in high-level and complex procedures. Join a talented team of tenured employees! This team collaborates closely with interventional cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons, as well as other groups. 

Job Summary:

Under the immediate direction of the Nurse Manager, assists physician and medical team in preparing patients for and performing interventional procedures; i.e., left and right heart catheterizations, heart biopsies, angioplasties (coronary and peripheral), atherectomies, coronary ultrasounds, interaortic balloon pump insertions, coronary stent procedures, electrophysiology procedures and valvoplasties.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

Current state licensure and registration (or eligible) with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers

OR

Credentialed through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS)CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) within three (3) months of hire. 

Experience:

Minimum of six months to one year of progressively more responsible experience providing cardiac catheterization or clinical special procedures.

Education:

Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.
