Position Summary

Perform x-rays in a Convenient Care setting and assist with check-in and check-out. 

Responsibilities

Position Specific Competencies:
In addition to the following essential position competencies, other competencies may be required to meet the changing
organizational needs.
1. Uses appropriate problem-solving approach to plan performance of services.
a. Evaluate patient status to determine method of exam and coordinates with nursing staff and provider.
b. Verify exam orders and make appropriate modifications - Convenient Care Clinics utilizes Epic Electronic
Medical Information System to generate Radiology check-in document per department policy.
c. Utilizes technique chart located in rooms.
d. Has knowledge of daily quality control functions.
2. Provides services with consideration of the physical, psychosocial, cultural/spiritual, and age-specific needs of those
served.
a. Produces optimal images in compliance with Quality Assurance policies.
b. Utilizes good positioning skills when creating patient images.
c. Maintains education hours as required by ARRT and FHC to include BLS.
d. Follows departmental guidelines for disposition of images.
e. Marks images with all required identification.
3. Uses equipment/supplies appropriately.
a. Maintains clinical competencies.
b. Operates office and communication systems to include Electronic Medical Record system, HBOC, PACS, and
Epic EMR System, and Agility.
c. Selects and uses appropriate supplies needed to perform procedures and provide patient care.
4. Uses appropriate safety and infection control measures.
a. Follows guidelines set by OSHA and FHC requirements.
b. Adheres to radiation safety policies.
c. Complies with departmental and organizational safety and infection control measures.
d. Uses proper techniques when working with equipment to prevent unnecessary harm to patient, equipment and
(or) co-workers.
5. Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate manner.
a. Provides guidance and assistance to co-workers.
b. Provides pertinent information to Regional Manager.
c. Good communication skills per corporate policy.
d. Anticipates informational needs of those served.
6. Reports/records information correctly.
a. Documentation on images, requests, and QC.
b. Documents/Reports equipment failure to appropriate personnel.
Compliance to competencies are evaluated by Outstanding, Successfully and Needs Improvement. It is the judgment of the clinic
manager and supported by objective documentation under comments when either Outstanding or Needs Improvement are given to any of
these competencies.

Qualifications

ARRT registered or registry eligible in Radiology
1 year of Radiology experience preferred
Three years’ experience in physician office with medical billing experience may be accepted in lieu of formal billing or PSR formal
training
