Wage Scale: $21.48-$30.51
Under the direction of the Director of Imaging services, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level, but requires constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require judgement, ingenuity and initiative. Responsible for producing, accessing and evaluating images and related data used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis or neo-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for providing a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Follows Trios Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards.
Essential Functions
Follows established departmental policies and procedures, quality assurance program, safety, radiation safety, environmental and infection control standards. Assess needs for and provide quality services and care as appropriate to age population served. Perform all routine radiographic procedures and shall be responsible for the review and understanding of department policies and procedures. Check equipment supplies and accessories on a daily basis. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of exam rooms and work areas. May assist Radiologists during the administration of contrast material for training purposes if a registered technologist is also present. Have available emergency supplies in the event of a patient reaction. Does not perform parenteral or IV contrast injections independently. May assist Radiologists during fluoroscopic procedures for training purposes if a registered technologist is also present. Assures that appropriate radiation protection devises are worn. Transports patients to the examination room, assist on-and-off exam table. Transport in a safe manner to their room and notifies patient nurse or house supervisor of exam status and any pertinent patient information. Process examination images, paperwork and RIS/PACS. Check requests for special instructions, consult with referring physician, patient nurse and Radiologist as necessary to clarify orders prior to performing study. Record unusual conditions/limitations, incompleteness of studies of patient's records. Document on images, in the RIS and on scanned documents, the technique factors used, L/R body markers, patient name, etc. according to Department policy. Perform function of Department secretary as needed. Report malfunctioning equipment or unsafe equipment per hospital policy. Attend all mandatory Hospital Inservice programs as scheduled. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested according to scope of license.Qualifications and requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Associates degree Must possess Washington State Technician License, BLS, and be enrolled in a Radiologic Technology program. Licenses: Enrolled in an accredited school of radiological technology. Working towards ARRT certification 6 months or more RT experience PreferredEEOC Statement
