Rad Tech Student,ImagingDepartment Job Type:PRN,VariableShift Performs various imaging proceduresin accordance withapplicable scope and standards of practice. Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * Reviews patient history andphysician'sorders. Educatespatientregardingprocedures,equipmentandexamto ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. * When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status asappropriate. * Prepares equipment and supplies.Selectsappropriate exposurefactors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performsappropriate qualitycontrol procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/orreportsequipmentmalfunctionsas necessary. * Implements safety standards and performsappropriate qualitycontrol procedures on equipment.
