Duties:
The GWEF is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level Radar Frequency (RF) Modeler/Engineer proficient in the field of RF signatures and RF phenomenology. This role will collaborate with functional teams to create/develop and manage RF models in multiple configurations, manage a materials library for signature prediction codes, create and verify RF signatures using modeling and simulation processes and tools, and post process signature files from modeling sources or range collected data sources. A strong background in signal processing techniques to create products that will be used for model validation, comparison to disparate data sources, and other reporting efforts is required.
+ 10 + years' experience.
+ Subject Matter Expert in the field of RF phenomenology with a focus on RF target modeling and simulation of targets.
+ Perform signature production using established production processes and techniques to analyze data, generate RF signatures, document produced signatures and conducted analysis.
+ Review delivered models for accuracy, completeness, and testability.
+ Experience working in Linux environment.
+ Ability to write scripts or code in MATLAB, Python, or similar modern scripting languages to automate simulation processes and data analysis.
+ Ability to modify mesh or IGES models to ensure proper materials and part hierarchy.
+ Ability to create signature input files and execute signature runs in electromagnetic simulation software Xpatch and/or similar codes such as Ansys HFSS.
+ Ability to interpret simulation data and post process I/Q data to create SAR, ISAR, RCS, Range profile data products for reporting efforts and data comparisons.
+ Document and maintain test results and reports.
+ Ensure the testing process aligns with industry standards.
+ Collaborate with customers in support of modeling efforts and technical reviews.
+ Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a technical team.
+ Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and reports.
+ Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
+ Willing to travel when required (5%).
+ US citizenship and able to obtain and hold a SECRET security clearance. Must be eligible for upgrade to TOP SECRET.
