Leidos’ Defense Systems Sensor Innovation Portfolio is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join our team to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar orientated problems. This position affords new or experienced engineers continued opportunities to learn and grow in technical knowledge of sensor and radar systems. The department encourages and frequently incorporates new ideas from all employees into our many sensor projects which span the entire DoD ecosystem. Primary Responsibilities:
Support Advanced Technology Radar and EW programs including research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, high-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysisIntegration and field testing of RF sensors and systems; and CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems.The Engineer in this role is expected to quickly immerse into radar and sensor phenomenology and our existing tools and models to begin contributing to new features.A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals will be assigned.Organizational skills will be paramount and managing multiple tasks while ensuring the work remains compatible with the group’s larger codebases.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or math from an accredited institution with at least 4 -8 years prior relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or math with 2-6 years prior relevant experienceGood organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background.Demonstrated experience developing and leading a team of talented employees to provide high-end technical services in a competitive environment.Enabling technologies including radar and EW, signal processing and tracking, physics modeling & simulation, analytical tool development, and data analysis.Must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in one or more of the following: signals and systems, digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, electromagneticsShould be able to apply one or more of these skills to the areas of radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, digital signal processing, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing of sensor systems.Demonstrated experience in understanding, evaluating, and implementing published scientific literature from sources such as IEEE is highly valued.Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or scienced based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics are valued.Candidate must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.Must be a US citizen, be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
List additional skills and experience that are “nice to have” but not required.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
