The Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our practice in Eau Claire, WI.  The ideal candidate is a clinician who will join two radiation oncologists and continue to build a dynamic practice while working in conjunction with physicians from Mayo Clinic, Mayo Clinic Health System, and external organizations within the region.  This is a full-time clinical opportunity.

Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic has five regional practice locations across the Midwest which are direct extensions of Mayo Clinic Rochester.  These practices provide the expertise of Mayo Clinic physicians and staff to serve local communities with top rated cancer care.  The total Midwest practice includes a robust team of 49 physician staff along with a fully accredited residency program with 12 medical residents. The Medical Physics Division includes 20 faculty, 44 clinical medical physicists, a medical physics residency program along with doctoral degree students.  If desired, this position includes opportunities to participate in education efforts with residents and medical students.  Additional opportunities for research and education exist through the integrated academic and community Radiation Oncology practice across the Midwest. A highly competitive compensation package is offered that includes comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, Mayo Clinic funded pension, and a generous CME package.

The Radiation Oncology Practice in Eau Claire is located within a modern 18,000 square foot Cancer Center built in 2011 and is accredited by the American College of Radiology, American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. The Radiation Oncology department includes 6 clinic exam rooms, 2 linear accelerator vaults and one CT simulator. Eau Claire is the primary location in northwest Wisconsin with a 180-bed inpatient hospital, 18 chair chemotherapy unit, and is the only location with radiation therapy services.

The physician will be supported by two full time advanced practice providers (NP or PA), two physicists and a pool of dosimetrists in addition to the radiation therapists and additional support staff.  The practice currently has four full-time Hem/Med Onc physicians, five full-time Hem/Med Onc Nurse Practitioners, one full-time embedded Hem/Med Onc Ambulatory Pharmacist, two onsite Genetic Counselors, Clinic & Infusion RNs, Certified Medical Assistants, and additional support services such as Social Work (Cancer Guide), Dietician, Chaplain, Financial Counselors, and Research Coordinators.
