Four 10-hour shiftsM-TH or Tu-F Compensation:$20 - $34 based on skills assessment leveling & experienceAbout the Role:
As the primary technician supporting our Oncologist(s), you will play a key role in assisting with treatments, diagnostic procedures, and compassionate care for oncology patients. Your professionalism, patience, and kindness will shine as you provide exceptional support to clients both in person and on the phone.

Position Responsibilities:Conduct appointment intake and record patient historyAccurately document histories, treatments, and diagnostics in EzyVet softwareGain proficiency in EzyVet and SmartFlow within the first 30 daysManage department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentationAssist with exams, treatments, and diagnostics, including radiation therapy and chemotherapyObtain and process lab samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspiratesExecute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic eventsMaintain all equipment to ensure patient safety and best practicesOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot linear accelerator (LINAC)Educate clients on oncology disease processes, treatments, and medicationReview estimates and discharges with clientsMaintain clean exam rooms and ensure department is well-stockedQualifications:Certified Veterinary Technician (LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT) with at least 1+ year of veterinary hospital experienceStrong understanding of veterinary medicine and disease processesTechnical skills: Phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiographs, lab work, pharmacology, medication, and fluid/oxygen administrationRadiation oncology experience and familiarity with LINAC preferred, but not requiredRequired Technician Skills:Proficient in phlebotomy and catheterizationSkilled in patient restraint and handlingExperienced with anesthesia monitoringCompetent in radiograph positioning and techniqueKnowledgeable in medical terminology and pharmacologyAbility to anticipate doctor needs during radiation therapy, diagnostics, and patient examsBenefits:CE AllowanceUniform AllowancePaid Time OffHoliday = DOUBLE TIME!Employee Pet Discount401kMedical/Dental/VisionDisability InsuranceLife InsuranceHSA/FSAAccess to VetBloom for RACE-approved continuing education and trainingPartnership with Purdue Veterinary Technology program, including scholarshipsLicense application and renewal reimbursement for CVTs.Financial support and onsite mentorship for those pursuing VTS certificationAsk us about certification assistance!
