Radiation Oncology Senior Project Manager - 40 Hours - Days

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Working under general direction, responsible for all aspects of one or more medium to large sized Radiology Oncology projects of moderate to high complexity and provides a single point of accountability for those projects.

May also assist in managing aspects of larger programs. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Incumbent could possess highly specialized knowledge of a specific technology. This role requires a deep understanding of and experience with radiation oncology technology, particularly for spectroscopic MRI programming.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Seven (7) years of project management experience required; five (5) years project management experience in a Healthcare setting preferred. Ten (10) years of specialized MRI programming and MR spectroscopy experience required. Experience working with a project management methodology. Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area. Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases. Experience in IT system implementations and/or system maintenance activities. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment. Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
