Radiation Therapist Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Radiation Oncology Director, the Radiation Therapist performs a variety of technical procedures in order to apply ionizing radiation for tumor localization radiography and applies therapeutic doses of radiation for the treatment of disease or injury.

Radiation Therapist Position Requirements

Graduation from an approved school of Radiation Therapy, followed by registration in the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (A.R.R.T.) in Radiation Therapy Licensed by the State of Maryland as a Radiation Therapist American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) One year of experience as a radiation therapist preferred but not required.
