In the role of a Radiation Therapist you will: + Administer individualized radiation therapy treatments to patients. + Verify treatment parameters and maintains necessary data. + Evaluate patients daily. Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + High School Diploma or GED + Two years training in an AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology + ARRT registered within 90 days of date of hire + BLS from the American Heart Association, required Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly Your Connected Community: At CommonSpirit Mountain Region, we believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness. The Oncology department at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital is a 12-bed unit comprised of oncology and surgical patients. Nurses care for many types of cancer patients and post-surgical patients. Nurses hang chemotherapy bags and empathize with the families of these patients. Our mission is to treat our patients with the utmost compassion, respect and integrity through all we do. Our team works very well together, and we are always willing to train new nurses to be the best they can be. We have several educational opportunities for this department.
