Job Title: RF Test Technician Job Description The RF Test Technician works closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to support products and improve manufacturing operations. This role includes tuning, aligning circuits, troubleshooting RF products, electronic assemblies, equipment, and process issues, as well as performing acceptance testing. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot and analyze radio frequency (RF) circuitry, including amplifiers, mixers, and integrated microwave assemblies down to the component level. + Use O-scopes, signal generators, and network analyzers to inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement. + Assist in product design, development, and production. + Set up, calibrate, and debug RF test setups. + Assist with test fixture development and documentation. + Perform hand soldering down to 0402 size components and obtain IPC Certification in time. + Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, and rework/repair of non-conforming products. + Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing. Essential Skills + Experience with RF circuitry (amplifiers, mixers, integrated microwave assemblies) down to the component level. + Skilled in using O-scopes, signal generators, and network analyzers. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). + Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electronic assembly field. + Highly skilled with use of common hand tools and internal specialized tooling and fixtures. + Self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills. + Ability to translate use of tooling to design concepts and develop fixture designs. + Experienced in using various test instruments, with an emphasis on RF testing including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and power supplies. + Ability to utilize all document forms: assembly, ATP, BOM, schematics. + Understanding of product specifications and applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Significant level of self-motivation and desire to learn new skills. + Ability to translate use of tooling to design concepts and develop fixture designs. + Experienced in using various test instruments, with emphasis on RF testing including use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, power supplies. + Well-versed in utilizing all document forms: assembly, ATP, BOM, schematics. + Understand product specifications and applications. Work Environment This position is 100% on-site at the manufacturing facility located in Philadelphia, PA. The work schedule is a 4/10 format, providing a balanced and efficient work week.
