Radiographer II-Outpatient - Urgent Care - Shrewsbury - PRN

General Summary

Performs routine and specialized diagnostic and technical radiographic procedures at an intermediate skill level.

Essential Functions:

Performs radiographic examinations; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.Able to perform more complex operating room procedures as well as fluoroscopic and overhead procedures and more complex portable exams if applicable to the location of outpatient center.Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.Properly processes images using digital technology., Able to resolve exceptions in PACs and EHR systems and has the ability to cancel unnecessary orders upon request of providers(site specific)Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.Evaluates recorded images for technical quality. , consistently maintains a repeat rate under 5%.Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.Demonstrates leadership skills with capability of taking on a charge role if needed.Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed; participates in at least 1 project including but not limited to: equipment QA (monthly, quarterly testing), creating standards of work, engagement committee.Becomes proficient in optional cross-trained skills(site specific) of EKGs and/or phlebotomy.
