Education:
Completion of two (2) years post-high school training in an approved school of diagnostic imaging.
Licensures/Certifications:
• Must have passed a qualifying examination given by an appropriate credentialing agency.
• Annual successful completion of “Healthcare Provider” CPR course.
• Must maintain national registry through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and state licensure through the Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
Experience:
Five (5) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Skills:
• Analytical skills necessary to direct day-to-day operations ensure efficient scheduling of personnel and respond effectively to equipment malfunctions, inventory usage, quality control or employee relation’s problems.
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures.
• Analytical skills necessary to determine the best method of providing requested images based on the specifics of the individual case.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees and directs the daily workflow and activity
• Prepares technologist schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Coordinates add-ons and changes to schedule and plans for tech coverage
• Monitors volume activity in all areas and adjusts staff assignments as required.
• Performs QA functions
• Gives status update to next shift at daily huddle
• Performs all imaging procedures as required
• Carries Spectra link phone to be responsive to needs of the dept
In conjunction with clinical supervisor, provides orientation and training for technologist and tech asst. Coordinates training for radiologic technologist that includes
• Equipment manipulation
• In-service on new equipment
• Procedure protocols
• Room orientation
• PACS related functionality
• IT systems
• Provides input to clinical supervisor regarding staff performance
Works with School of Radiography to support learning experience for all its students.
• Orients students to rooms
• Completes student evaluations as required
• Ensures students are paired with technologist
• Reports equipment failures to radiology engineering using procedures in place
• Makes recommendations for new equipment
• Performs other duties as required

$28.47 - $46.69Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
