Radioisotope Solutions Engineer

Your Day-to-Day:

Develop a basic technical understanding of the current radioisotope production methods under development by Westinghouse. Facilitate market research and competitive assessments for the systematic and data-driven identification of wants, needs and pains of radioisotope markets and its customers. Support the development of product/technology roadmaps that allow Westinghouse to participate in the product life cycles for select long half-life (Cobalt-60) and short half-life radioisotopes used in industrial and medical applications. Define producer/supplier heat maps and execute customer engagement/capture strategies to implement radioisotope product/technology roadmaps. Develop short-term and long-term financial forecasts (revenue, margin, EBITDA) for radioisotope business opportunities.  Incorporate into WAVE and D365 where appropriate and maintain status, financials, and milestones.  Work with Customer Account Teams and Commercial Sales Managers to engage and collaborate with U.S. and international customers interested in supporting the production and supply of radioisotopes. Interface with Global Contracts, Legal, Customer Account Teams, and Commercial Sales Managers to define project/business delivery models, customer scope, pricing models, and customer responsibilities for radioisotope production and supply opportunities.  Support the development of Limits of Authority (LOA) approval documentation for commercial teaming agreements and contracts.  Ensure commercial offers negotiated and extended to customers are aligned with goals/requirements of Americas PWR Fuel. Interface with Westinghouse technical and project management teams to ensure completion of internal/external actions and deliverables, and maintain compliance with project/delivery schedules. Coordinate various technical/project meetings and deliver updates/presentations as needed to Westinghouse and customer stakeholders and/or executive leadership. Engage in the development of marketing/communications campaigns and marketing collateral (flysheets, Westinghouse Navigator modules, etc.). Collaborate with other Business Unit Segments to ensure alignment on overlapping products and opportunities. Assess monthly financial variance reports for solutions management to understand deltas and areas for improvement on future opportunities. Participate in industry conferences and conventions where appropriate. Administer B&P funding for use by project management and engineering.

 

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related technical discipline or equivalent.  Minimum of six years technical or customer-oriented experience. Previous customer-oriented experience and/or product line/marketing experience highly desirable.  Preferred knowledge of NSSS systems, business unit products, services, commercial operations, financial planning and setting strategic objectives. Must support a culture that values safety, personalized customer service and human performance fundamentals. Needs to be able to take abstract concepts and divergent information and skillfully present data in a clear, concise manner. Needs to be able to collaborate with various levels within the organization and across business segment boundaries. Needs to be able to understand and ensure compliance with the offer/marketing process (Technical descriptions, estimates, risk assessment worksheets, SOPAR/CRM reports, etc.). Needs to be able to navigate SAP for review of data and run various reports.  Must be able to sort, manipulate and analyze information from various reporting formats. Must have strong oral and written skills. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
