Job Summary
Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practiceEssential Functions
Reviews patient history and physician’s ordersEducates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperationWhen ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practiceMonitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriatePrepares equipment and suppliesSelects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parametersImplements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipmentTroubleshoots, resolves, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessaryPositions patient and performs imaging proceduresAnalyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging resultsTakes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedureEnters, transmits and reports scan resultsOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
