Radiologic Technologist
Overview

As our Radiographer at St Joseph Medical Center,  you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. 

Every day you will be providing X-ray procedures within our Imaging Center, Emergency Room, or patient rooms to assist physicians to assist our Doctors in diagnosing diseases and injuries.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Knowledge of EPIC and PACS will help you hit the ground running but is not required for the position


Responsibilities

Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patientsThorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the orderHyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activityRoutinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.Mechanical aptitude and confidence in troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
Qualifications
Associate Degree In Radiology 1 Year Of Experience In which may be obtained through practical education/training Active Radiologic Technologist  license in good standing with the State of WashingtonAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) requiredCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
