We are looking for technologists that invest in our people and our community. We want to create the ultimate patient experience, every patient…every time. You will work with multiple staff Radiologic Technologists and support staff, depending upon the shift selected. You will be rotated through third shift every 3 weekends and may have to fill in other shift hours as needed. We have multiple positions open. In the past there have been opportunities to train in CT and other modalities as they become available. You will be trained in the operating room for surgeries using a c-arm and or o-arm. You will work closely with the Emergency room to provide quality and diagnostic images for our Radiologists. We also have an outpatient facility and urgent care that we staff on occasion.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Produce diagnostic images using our protocols and knowledge of positioning to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, while respecting patient's comfort and ability and range of motion Obtain adequate patient history, explain procedures to the patient, while addressing patient concerns Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and ensure processed images are in proper order of exposure, and appropriate identification of patient and anatomy imaged Set techniques and have a working understanding of correct exposure according to patient age and body habitus Work closely with our support staff and board-certified Radiologists for the best patient care that we can provide.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Professional knowledge of Radiology and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Must be a registered Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible pass the registry within one year of hire.
Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.
If assigned to the Neuro-Alert Team, additional stroke education is required. Refer to Administrative Policy A-148 for education requirements.
