We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.  This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

 

Shift’s Available:  Variable

Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN)

Hours: Variable

Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as neededInteract with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinationsMaintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical historyStay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certificationOperate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality imagesMaintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

Licensure as required by StateAppropriate national certifications in one modalityCurrent BLS accredited by the AHAGraduate of an accredited radiology technology program (accredited by JRCERT preferred)

 

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient computer skillsFamiliar with State and Federal regulations 

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

One year of Acute Clinical Radiography
