Radiologic Technologist Lead

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** GENERAL PURPOSE Performs technical work involving the operation of complex X-ray equipment for the purpose of taking radiographs of various designated portions of the body, using special procedures to assist physicians in the treatment of their patients in the inpatient setting. Supports operations on various shifts. Assists shift supervisor, or in the absence of a supervisor, determines workflow and staff schedule/assignments. May also provide performance evaluation input to the section supervisor. Must be available for on-call rotation as needed. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Troubleshoots situations, coordinates workflow, and is involved with working decisions. Follows prescribed techniques in acquiring X-Rays. Adjusts equipment and determines proper X-ray exposure to produce a high-quality study. Translates physician’s orders into appropriate X-Ray exams, including preparing and positioning patients for examination and operating X-Ray equipment in a proper and safe manner. Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in the scan rooms. Maintains patient record keeping. Handles all X-Ray equipment safely and properly, including the PACS system. Properly identifies images. + Acts as section supervisor in the absence of supervisor. Serves as a role model to new technologists and student technologists. Coordinates and oversees the scheduling of radiology procedures to ensure optimal use of resources and timely patient care. Develops and implements training programs for radiologic technologists and other staff members to ensure competency and compliance with protocols and procedures. Identifies opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and productivity within the radiology department. + Interacts in a respectful manner with patients of all abilities. Develops and/or supervises the analysis of patient information and interpretation of data to provide an appropriate plan and intervention specific for age related needs and provision of care.
