The primary responsibility of this position is to provide didactic and laboratory instruction to students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program at Southside College of Health Sciences.
Job Functions
Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of the purpose, philosophy, objectives and organizational framework of the educational program.Plan and provide didactic and laboratory instruction that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives and curriculum of the educational program.Develop and maintain course material for effective instruction. Provide academic advising, guidance, and support of students.Utilize innovative teaching strategies and information technologies to facilitate student learning.Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes.Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline through continuing professional development.Ground teaching, learning assessment and evaluation strategies in educational and curricular theory.Utilizes feedback from student, administration, and peer evaluations to make improvements to self and course instruction.Ensures appropriate collection and accurate calculations of program effectiveness plan to include assessment/outcome data in accordance with accreditation standards.Demonstrates ability to operate multiple computing systems to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Online Learning Management System, CampusNexus, and Smart Board technology.Communicates and interacts well within a team environment with peers and healthcare professional colleagues.Education
Required-Bachelor's degree Licensure/Certification Required-Registered through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Licensure/Certification preferred- Advanced Imaging Modality (CT, MRI, M)Minimum years of experience-Three-years of full-time professional experience in diagnostic radiography.Required-Documentation of completion of a JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology.Teaching experience preferred.Many of our opportunities reward* your hard work with:Comprehensive, affordable medical, dental and vision plans
