Overview M Health Fairview is looking for a Radiology Aide at Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists deliver services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. St. John's offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients We have outpatient access seven days a week. The Radiology Aide works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Schedule: This is a casual SEIU position. Responsibilities Job Description Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Assists the radiologic technologist and radiologist with procedures to facilitate patient flow. Provides appropriate patient safety measures to ensure delivery of quality patient care. Develops films to ensure maintenance of patient flow. Prepares room set-up to ensure availability of procedural needs. Transports patients to maintain patient flow. Assembles and files radiology jackets to ensure timely examination processing. Maintains supply inventory to ensure availability of required items. Qualifications Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time): Computer Skills: Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.). Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co- workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.
