Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Diagnostic Team Leader and with minimal supervision, performs exams in the department, surgery or at the bedside. Willing to learn CT within the 1st year of employment. Primarily works day shift with rotation through other shifts and participate in the on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct radiographic exams using various equipment, including general, C-arm, and portable devices.Fulfill tasks assigned by Coordinator, Team Leader, or Senior Technician.Transport patients to and from the department as needed.Maintain department cleanliness and organization.Manage and process computerized image data for interpretation and archiving.Handle all case records and charting.Follow dress code and complete Quality Assurance (QA) tasks.Adhere to universal precautions and use personal protective equipment.Administer contrast media per physician direction and department policy.Collect patient histories and coordinate with radiologists and staff.Provide support in other departmental areas as required.Perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
2. Active KBMIRT at time of hire.
3. ARRT within 90 days of hire. CT Certification Strongly Preferred within 1 year of hire.
4. BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certified within 90 days of hire.
