Radiology Equipment Specialist II

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

                                                                       Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations

The RES II will be responsible for, at a minimum, perform asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance duties at an advance level on a variety of clinical devices, primarily radiographic in nature. Technician must utilize excellent customer service skills while performing duties. 

 

Must have an understanding of, planned maintenance schedules and compliance, equipment network connectivity and be able to properly document in the CMMS database.

 

 

The RES II will serve as liaison to any outside service organization which provides services to McLeod Health.

 

Coordinate with vendors to order, track, and manage spare parts for imaging equipment, maintaining an inventory to support effective repair and maintenance.

 

Collaborate with IT to manage the pipeline of incoming radiology equipment for network and PACS setup, ensuring seamless integration with hospital systems. Perform the setup, testing, and deployment of radiology equipment to ensure operational readiness.

 

Ensure all repairs and maintenance adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining a safe environment in radiology work areas.

 

                                                                                                            Job Requirements

 

Qualifications/Education/Training:

RES II shall possess, at a minimum, an Associate’s Degree in Biomed, or have completed equivalent military Biomedical training, have or have the minimum years of experience in the field. 

 

6 years’ experience servicing radiographic equipment. Completion of at least three manufacturing service schools.

 

Licenses and/or Certifications:

CRES certification a plus but not required.

Associate degree in Electronics or similar discipline a plus.
