Radiology Information System Coordinator

Coordinates the Radiology Information Services for the Crozer-Keystone Health System.

Performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

*Coordinates utilization of RIS and other departmental systems, ensuring accuracy of data and functions and training of staff,  and utilizes data and reports to improve operations.

*Coordinates and implements all Radiology Information System and upgrades for CKHS.

*Produces internal documentation (policies and procedures) for all RIS systems.

*Responsible for quality assurance testing of systems at implementation and for quality assurance for all updates and changes in software.

*Coordinates development of all information requirements (results, billing, etc.) for all outreach programs.

*Acts as liaison between Radiology and other departments, as needed, regarding Information System issues.

*Supervises accuracy of records, billing and crediting of patient accounts.

*Reviews  hard copy printouts of files and data base information with Radiology section representatives, making appropriate revision and additions and submitting edited information to the appropriate personnel.

*Communicates with Information Systems on a regular basis to monitor project progress, problem resolutions and to communicate system updates.

*Participates in developing, approving, communicating, implementing and  revising policies and procedures for the department to provide guidelines for operations including protocols, performance criteria,  integration of services.  Ensures staff compliance with all policies and procedures, demonstrated by a complete and current Policy and Procedure Manual, minutes and other  records. 

*Assists in coordinating interface with management information systems, troubleshooting, opening tickets for problems with IS, training of staff and utilizes data and reports to improve operations

*Acts as a resource to supervisory staff regarding Departmental systems, resolving problems and assisting with difficult situations.
