Under the direction of the Education Coordinator and Program Director, the Radiology Instructor instructs and supervises students in the classroom for assigned courses and in the clinical and didactic setting and is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating curriculum as well as assisting the coordinator in clinical site visits, with record-keeping and with other school operations.
**A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 4:30pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Develop, implement and evaluate didactic teaching strategies to promote student achievement of course objectives.
+ Prepare class lectures and assignments to help students grasp course content.
+ Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying learning needs using relevant technology.
+ Create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
+ Conduct meaningful student conferences relating theory to practice.
+ Provide tutorial sessions.
+ Assist in ensuring that students are competent to manage the delivery of radiation and possess the knowledge, skills and capabilities to provide safe, high quality patient care.
+ Ensure that all students are proficient in radiography safety.
+ Demonstrate compliance with the national educational standards that will give students the knowledge, skills, attributes and clinical experience needed for entry into the profession and for practice of the profession.
+ Evaluate and ensure clinical education effectiveness through regularly scheduled visits of clinical facilities.
+ Assist with student competency and performance evaluation programs.
+ Ensure student and clinical site observance of clinical rotation schedules commensurate with the students' needs and abilities.
+ Assist in the organizing and conducting of career days and other recruiting activities that foster positive relationships with the community.
+ Participate in clinical instructor meetings to share student progress and discuss issues and concerns.
+ Contribute to ongoing development of curriculum including philosophy, school and course objectives, course sequence and content.
+ Maintain statistical record of student achievement and assist with completion of JRCERT self-study and site visits to obtain and maintain school accreditation.
+ Assist in ensuring compliance with the national educational standards.
+ Assist in the preparation and updating of program policies and utilize the student policy manual.
+ Assist in the enforcement of program, hospital and organizational policies.
+ Participate with all faculty in the development and implementation of academic policies, guiding principles, objectives and functions in accordance with the philosophy of the school.
+ Ensure the work and learning environment promotes and embraces diversity and inclusion.
+ Keep current in the field of radiology and maintain professional growth through current literature, attendance at workshops, seminars, membership in professional organizations and networking with other radiology educators.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, R.T.(R) (ARRT), and in good standing.
+ Current state licensure (RL).
+ Two years of experience as a radiographer.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire or willing to obtain within the new hire period.

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
+ Requires standing, walking and sitting for extensive periods of time.
+ Manual dexterity sufficient to operate basic office equipment.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $30.41
Maximum hourly: $46.38
