Radiology Manager Full Time Days Position Summary

Manages a team of Clinical Imaging professionals for the organization. Establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standards and objectives. Directs and manages staff as well as workflow. Position has budgetary and fiscal accountability; responsible for managing overtime and approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning. Incorporates management skills required to support Abrazo’s vision, mission, values and strategic plan with a fiscally sound focus. Responsible for the administration of daily operations, scheduling, customer service and problem solving related to assigned areas. Highly effective communication, customer service, relationship and team building skills as well as leadership abilities shall be demonstrated to all levels within the Abrazo organization structure. Interacts effectively as a member with the IS leadership team; plans and organizes tasks and projects allowing for "on schedule" deliverable, manages multiple priorities, meets deadlines, participates in group meetings, is or becomes familiar with and uses PMI project methodology and applicable tools. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Travel Requirement: Amount of travel will vary depending on projects and tasks that are being worked at any given point in time.

Responsibilities:

Manages team to implement projects, customer interfacing as well as coordinates and manages computer/technical/application related issues and resolutions. Regularly conducts team meetings to ensure communication and dissemination of information.Strives for continual improvement of the "customer experience" in their area of responsibility; particularly with areas that have direct and frequent contact with the customer. Develops, implements and maintains processes and controls. Analyzes and coordinates multiple technologies and concepts effectively; makes sound judgements and recommendations; provides guidance to others; communicates well, both verbally and written; displays excellent customer service skills, diplomacy and tact.Implements and manages projects. Provides project management oversight to various initiatives and is the focal point to which all processes, communication, accountabilities and procedures are filtered through to ensure an aligned team effort.Develops, manages and reports on benchmarks and SLAs/service deliverables within their area of responsibility. Assists with operational and capital budget preparation.Builds and maintains effective working relationships within the department/unit, across department/units and external to the hospital.Provides staff guidance and assistance in problem identification and resolution including conflict management. Determines, advocates and provides for appropriate training to maximize staff effectiveness.

Special Skills: System configuration. Possesses working knowledge of project management concepts and demonstrates consistent success in managing system implementations. Works under general supervision using a wide degree of creativity and discretion. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May perform system administration functions. May lead and direct the work of others. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top-level contributor/specialist.

THE RADIOLOGY MANAGER FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related area or 5 years of experience in the field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years in a leadership role. Familiarity with McKesson HRM (Radiology), HMI (PACS) and PHS (Scheduling). Experience in various Cardiology information systems including McKesson CPACS, Trace Master. Proven experience in building/configuration and maintenance of health care applications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in cardiology and radiology imaging is strongly desired.
