Performs radiographic/fluoroscopic or other imaging procedures under the direction of a radiologist. Responsible for mentoring and training students in a cooperative learning environment.
Responsibilities Takes images for diagnostic radiologic examinations according to established procedure. Scans required documents and transmits to the radiologist.Stocks and supplies room and maintains cleanliness before and after patients.Accurately adheres to surgical asepsis.Accurately orders for appropriate exams pertaining to OR cases.Coordinates with OR staff the use of imaging in surgical procedures.Follows OR infection control guidelines.Ensures radiation safety and stays knowledgeable of dose awareness.Maintains cleanliness of C-arms.Prepares cases based on surgeon preferences.Follows the OR traffic patterns.Follows the OR dress code. QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Additional Educational Requirements
Formal radiologic technology training at an AMA school.
Work Experience:
Previous Related Experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
State license / New Jersey Required
ARRT Certification Strongly Preferred
CPR or BLS Certification Required
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
