JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting physicians and registered nurses with cardiac cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedures and EP Lab procedures. Provides comprehensive patient care in the pre and post holding area and during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This position 24/7 coverage of the cardiac cath lab. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including young adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital, ICARE standards, adherence to the Code of Conduct, and organization policies. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
Basic cardiology course.
PREFERRED:
RCIS
1-2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab, radiology procedures room or EP lab.
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
Required: Currently certified in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care provider (BLS). ACLS. Current certification by the ARRT.
Required: Current IEMA Certification
Preferred: RCIS. For EP Lab required to get RCES within 2 years of hire.
