Job Summary
The Radiologist Technologist is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care on a continuing basis for the Diagnostic Radiology department and throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Produce a variety of high quality radiographs through proper positioning and technique Administer contrast media using proper technique and according to department policy Utilize assigned functions with the Radiology Information System to complete paperwork and to document contrast media reactions Utilize the hospital computer system to enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and/or credits Review patient’s chart for confirmation of physician's orders and follows written and/or verbal protocols and instructions Follow department, NRC, and State policies and regulations for radiation safety to keep exposure "ALARA" Educate the patient, and family when necessary, regarding the exam, treatment, and outcome Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel Communicate equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to appropriate supervisor Perform procedures as the schedule requires and rotate call Perform other duties as assignedSummary of Other Job Duties and Expectations

Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
Preferred Education: N/A
Experience: Previous experience as a registered technologist is preferred, but will accept a new graduate
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Applicants must be ARRT registered or registry eligible; applicants who are registry eligible must be registered within three months of employment. Must be BLS certified
