Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Conducts patient education as necessary. Administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols. Reports to: Director of Imaging Services *Minimum Education* Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology/Ultrasound required. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. *Required Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Venipuncture skills *Required License/Certification* Rad Tech I: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire ARRT (R) or equivalent certification; or if a new graduate, registry eligible and must sit for registry within 90 days of graduation. If fails examination, must sit again within 90 days from date of last test. Rad Tech II: BLS within 30 days from date of hire ARRT(R) or equivalent certification, plus demonstrated competencies in another modality, such as CT, as documented on the job within 45 days of hire. *Minimum Work Experience* Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to report to facility within 60 minutes of notification.
